The Atlantic Hotel

The Atlantic Hotel is located in Jersey and is set in acres of wonderfully landscaped gardens on the west coast of the island.

Overlooking the absolutely stunning St Ouen’s Bay, The Atlantic Hotel is the first hotel to be ‘Endorsed by Inclu’ in the Channel Islands.

You are guaranteed a very warm welcome from everyone at the hotel, ensuring you receive the best levels of guest-inclusivity.

Rooms and Suites

The Garden Studios are located on the ground floor with no stairs required for access. The door frames are wide enough for a standard wheelchair and the rooms are spacious. In the bathroom, there is a shower over the bathtub, which may not be suitable for all. A portable frame around the toilet can be installed for added convenience.

The Atlantic Suite and Executive Suite are also situated on the ground floor. The door frames are wide enough for a standard wheelchair and the suites are very spacious. In the bathroom, there is a walk-in shower, although it is not level with the floor due to a raised shower tray. While some guests may prefer a walk-in shower, please note that these may not be suitable for wheelchair users due to the step.

Restaurant, Terrace, and Bar

The Ocean Restaurant, Bar, and Terrace are located on the ground floor accessible to wheelchair users with a completely level layout.

Our dining menus are designed to accommodate dietary needs and lifestyle choices. For guests with allergies or swallowing difficulties, we can customise a menu to ensure a delightful dining experience.

All restaurant menus feature Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, and Dairy Free options. For any dexterity issues, we provide adaptive cutlery in every outlet.

Water Access

The indoor pool is located on the ground floor and is level with the rest of the public areas. The outdoor pool, which is heated during the summer months, can be accessed using a portable ramp, bridging over two steps from the garden side. The hotel is in the process of identifying suitable  pool hoists.

Hidden Disabilities

For guests who have a hidden disability, we strive to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible. Our team has undergone diversity and inclusion training to ensure we treat all guests with respect, fostering an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. We are continuously learning how to genuinely cater to a diverse range of needs and abilities.

Autism
We can accommodate sensitivities guests may have to sound, light, or touch, and will gladly make adjustments for unforeseen triggers. We can easily create quiet, low-lit spaces to ensure everyone is
comfortable.

Hearing Impairment
We have a portable hearing loop to assist with communication. During emergencies such as fire alarms, we can arrange for a member of our security team to enter guest rooms with guests’ consent.

Dysphagia
We understand that various conditions can make swallowing difficult and stressful. We can tailor a menu to suit guests’ tastes and dietary needs, ensuring a delightful dining experience.

Visual Impairment
We will be happy to print our menus in larger text or in a different contrast if required.
